Polyurethanes are one of the most versatile plastic materials, with extreme flexibility and durability. Formed through a chemical reaction, polyurethanes can be custom engineered to the needs of specific applications and adapted to address a wide variety of product challenges.

Many products could be improved by the use polyurethane over another material, such as plastic or rubber.

  • Polyurethane has better abrasion and tear resistance than rubbers, and higher load bearing capacity.
  • Polyurethane has superior impact resistance, elastic memory, and excellent wear properties.

Through Reaction Injection Molding we are able to mold products into unique shapes. Our polyurethane compounds can produce materials in a wide range of densities - from soft 30A through 100A, correlating to a Youngs Modulus range of approximately 200psi to 1000psi.

This characteristic makes polyurethane an ideal material for a wide variety of parts and products in a wide range of industries such as medical, furniture, novelties and sports & recreation to name a few.

i-Skin Polyurethane

Integral Skin Polyurethane Foam ("i-Skin") adds a protective, flexible, and tear- resistant outer layer to a molded product. This skin is formed during the molding process and can be imprinted with various patterns by the tooling. Urethane Systems Plus is a leader in this innovative process.

Additional i-skin benefits

  • Self Healing
  • Water Resistant
  • Can be Flame Retardant
